The SSH-140A is a
remarkably versatile system. It is an ideal choice for a variety of exam- inations, in
abdominal, peripheral vascular, obstetric, gynecologic, urologic and cardiac applications.
The SSH-140A is also the appropriate choice for more
specialized examinations, such as intraoperative procedures, laparoscopic,
ultrasonography and biospy. It's versatility and compactness expand the range of clinical
diagnosis. The highly compact design of the SSH-140A gives it
easy access to examination rooms with limited space, and it's mobility makes it an
invaluable tool for use in wards and operating rooms. More over, peripheral devices such
as VCR's can easily be mounted on the system, enhancing it's value to the operator. The Touch Command Screen incorporates the switches for the detailed
parameters for image quality and for measurements, etc. This has minimized the number of
switches on the panel. As a result the operating procedure is smooth, and patient through-
put is improved.
The SSH-140A provides precise images, thanks to
advanced technology such as the Dyna-
mic Beam Control and High Doppler
Sensitivity. The SSH-140A incorporates, moreover, a
number of newly developed color display techniques. These include Color
Perspective,
Color Angio, Color Persistence
and Color Capture. These features have made a contri-
bution to the evolution of ultrasound diagnosis. Conditions for obtaining optimal images
vary according to the patient's physique and the scanning depth of anatomical structures
to be examined. High frequencies provide high resolution, but at the same time there is
greater attenuation. On the other hand, low frequencies undergo less attenuation and
provide better Doppler sensitivity, but resolution is reduced. In order to deal
effectively
with such problems, the SSH-140A is provided with the Dynamic Beam Control function,
by means of which, high-quality, faithful images are obtained from superficial to deep
regions. This is accomplished with a single transducer without the need for exchanging
transducers.
